The Chief People Officer is a joint role working across both Stockport NHS Foundation Trust & Tameside & Glossop ICFT.
As Chief People Officer, you will be a key member of the Trust Board and Executive Team, providing strategic leadership across workforce, organisational development, culture, inclusion, wellbeing and employee experience. You will play a pivotal role in delivering our organisational ambitions by creating the conditions in which our people can flourish, innovate and achieve their full potential.
Working alongside your colleagues, you will lead the development and delivery of a progressive People and OD Strategy that supports workforce sustainability, organisational performance and exceptional patient outcomes.
Our Trusts have been working together in close partnership since 2020, our first Joint Chair was appointed in April 2025 and new Joint NEDs from the 1st April 2026, nearly all our Executive Directors work jointly across both Trusts. This has marked a critical development for our partnership, in bringing our Boards and governance together, and developing a shared strategic vision for the benefit of our staff and the communities we serve. The directorate of People & OD are leading the way with a number of services working jointly and collaboratively bringing about greater alignment of processes, policies and systems as well as some efficiencies.
